cubase feels more professional to me, and i like how it works better....sonar is fine though if you like it more
oh yeah, also, there seems to be a ton more free/cheap VST effects that are decent (for cubase)
I don't like polywebs, but I am a fan of the nanowebs on my acoustic...
it's weird that the poll is pretty positive about them, but the thread posts are negative, so I thought I'd throw a positive post in here
If the sm58 isn't particularly good for vocals, why is it almost universally used for live vocal mics....people jus like using crap mics that are durable?
I think I might buy one of those MSH-1A things, I'm pretty interested...
And I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the MXL 991 is not a bad mic for acoustic instruments...
I agree with getting a 58 also, everyone needs more than one...
Sorry if this has already been asked, but I didn't exactly know how to search for it. At an acoustic show I'm doing I would like to hook an sm58 into my Marshall solid state head and put some distortion and crazy reverb on it (and then I'll have another normal vocal mic, and only use that mic...
are you saying you want to be able to have the mics go in separately so that you can pan the separate tracks?
or are you saying you just want a stereo signal from your mixer and you will pan on the mixer?
I think its number 2, and if it is, if your mic in isn't a stereo in, you can get a...
I don't know, my guess is yes...have you thought about using your computer though? might be easier and cheaper
and by the way, if you can't get the file off of the cd, just play it on a cd player and run a line into the recorder and record it

If you have any problems from there just search around the forums or...
i'm not sure if I agree with that....I could be wrong, but if the power is off, there is no power going to the amp which means having standby on is doing nothing for you right? You need the power on and standby on...no sound will be going through the amp, the tubes will just be warming up. Then...
I'm not positive that I understand the question, and I think it may be in the wrong section, but if you are asking for free recording software I would recommend kristal http://www.kreatives.org/kristal/index.php
I don't know about the dual core thing, but on a side note, this is the second recent post w/ an AMD computer having a problem playing back choppy....is there a connection there or just coincidence?
I am not sure, it's a weird problem. You should have no problem w/ 1 GB, a firebox, and LE...I've seen such a thing work beautifully in person before. I don't know much about your processor, but I'm assuming its up to par right? Maybe there's something wrong with the firebox, 'cause if you are...
