Ibanez Chorus pedal buzzes when attatched in stereo

you are using MONO (tip/sleeve) cables for in and output, and not stereo cable (tip/ring/sleeve)??? I accidently used a stereo cable once an my setup went crazy soundwise (and not in a good way :D ) best of luck

best pickup for me -- single coil, double coil or humbucker?

a lot has to do with amps, and a lot with the guitar as such (woods, neck joint, weight, strings, bridges, etc...) some of what you look for are typically "single coil" (smooth, razor sharp) other aspects are more "humbucker-style" (chug w/ palm mutes) my advise ... look into hum's w/ 4 cables...

    book recommendations

    Schecter question...

no, I meant superior to any STOCK tuners, esp. the crappy Gibson "Deluxe" tuners ... (comparing OEM parts here) the only stock tuners that were better than the PRS import are the carvin's, but those are Grover locking tuners and, no I did not sell the gretsch ... cheers, alfred

    Schecter question...

hmmm .... I had a PRS Santana II (import) and the tuners and bridge are WAY superior to any "factory" tuners / bridges I have on other guitars, and I do have *quality guitars", like Gibsons and Gretsch (it was only second to the qual. of my Carvin). Electronics is always a matter of personal...

Hey Light...or anyone else who knows their intonation well. I stress well.

I beg to differ ... just tune your guitar lying flat on the table ... and then pick it up in a regular playing position (neck-strap) and check again with the tuner ... you WILL be surprised ... the pure fact that the neck of the guitar isnt being pulled back by its own weight (by lying on the...

    Tune-o-matic Bridges

no, you cant ... you have to "aproximate" it with the 2 thumb-wheels that change the overall bridge height ... I find this somewhat limited, but then again who cares about my opinions :D here's a pic .... http://www.gtrmusic.com/graphics/les%20paul%20bridge%20800x516.jpg bye alfred

Hey Light...or anyone else who knows their intonation well. I stress well.

a word of caution... many people commit the mistake to tweak the intonation with the guitar lying on the table. DO ALL YOUR GUITAR ADJUSTS IN PLAYING POSITION !!!! (i know its a p.i.t.a., but you want to optimize your axe for the way you use it ... and not for lying flat on a table :D )

Eep. My neck is cracking. Repairable?

wouldnt it be good to drill 2 small holes at the current end of the cracks? ... this is a very frequently used method to stop cracks, as the pressure is distributed evenly by the holes. A small drill, the size of a match (like for lighting up a smoke) should work ... then you could fill the...
