I know ... but thats the only real answer ... I have a Vintage Guitar price guide and I CONSTANTLY see some models go on e-bay WAY ABOVE and some other models WAY BELOW what they say ... so dont get tricked by that "theoretical" value in the guides... e-bay is where you really have to step up...

I elegantly side-step this problem by not knowing the notes on a regular guitar either :D talk about problem solving capacity :D :D :D

i second that! ... you def. get compression from a distortion pedal, but its a side-product - whereas you can fine-tune a compressor for that

I understand the strings for baritone are way smaller in diameter than bass strings ... mine is 070 (the fattest one) ... and i think that bass strings are lie 110 or so .. also a bass is normally tuned to the low E, a Baritone to B and a regular guitar to E (1 oct. above the bass) hope this...

as a matter of fact, its just the "open book" portion of the headstock that was part of the "lawsuit" ... and about 90% of all junk sold on ebay aint lawsuit, b/c they dont have the gibson open book headstock. btw the lawsuit was never ruled, as both parties came to an extra-courtal-agreement

if you go boss, get the DS-2 ... its vastly superior to the DS-1 in terms of versatility, except the ones modded by analogman or keeley, which are REALLY REALLY GREAT (and expensive) !!!! best of luck alfred

dont expect ANYTHING .... plywood and photo-top ... usually you get what you pay for ... maybe a better idea to get something "better" used, e.g. w/ decent wood and a set neck ... [just 2 weeks ago, a 1980ies hohner neck-thru guitar went was sold on e-bay for 122 bucks - now THAT is a sweet...

just make sure to buy a good one ... i have seen quite some guitars, where the "rubber" of the wall hanger kinda burnt the finish of the guitar ... :eek: i am very anal about wall hangers ... :D
