That's kind of my point, the difference in the capability is fairly significant, but the learning curve going from CW to PT is not very steep.

I just switched from CW's guitar tracks pro to pro tools LE (came with my interface). I can honestly say my workflow is much more streamlined using pro tools and the learning curve between PT CW is not that steep. Also, the documentation for PT is MUCH better than that for CW.

I plug my computer speakers into the headphone jack of my M-box Mini. PT8 will not play through the computer speakers as far as I know.

Also more hard drives are better. If you want 1TB of space, you are better of with 2 500 GB drives or 3 320 GB drives. Its always better to have your tracks being recorded/played to/from a different disk than the disk your software is running on. Samples on still another drive is even better.

Your BR600 can as well (this is the model I have). You just need to export your drum track out of your drummer software as a wave file and then use the wave converter program to import it into the BR.

You dont't actually have to "play" it into the BR. If you use the Wave converter program found on Boss's site, you can import the file into the BR. Its quicker and you will have no signal loss.

You could also try to cut some separation between the two guitars with either eq and/or panning. You might try cutting out the lower frequencies of the distorted guitar to let the acoustic come through.

You might also try to reduce the amount of distortion on one of the two guitars (either dial down the pedal or use a cleaner amp). typically this would be done for the rhythm and the lead would have the more distorted sound.
