i have a tascam cd burner, and i believe i can burn in 24 bit. at least i've done so...but this was using the digital outs, not the scsi, so it probably don't matter because i probably don't know what i'm talking about....

just chiming in, i own the Beyerdt 770 pro's extremely comfortable, great sound, i think about 180.00 i'd recommend highly

phew...i think i'll be o.k. i went back and reviewed the auction and it says it is the external unit...so i should be fine...also comes with the scsi cable...so i'm good there...now the terminator i ordered...i dunno yet

i went wit the ricoh mp7060s...i got it on ebay for 169.00 i also just ordered a terminator...i hope i got the right one! i called akai and ordered the upgrade as well...thanks for the help.

i remember somebody did this...but i can't remember who. anyway, my scsi cdr is on the way and now i want to get the 1.5 upgrade. i can't order it from akai directly...at least not that i can find on the site...where did you get yours? was the installation difficult? thanks whomever you are!

no contest. the akai. why would you want 8 tracks when you could have 16? and an easier to use unit with better sound.... i'd take the dps16 over the 1880 in fact, i did.

hey! where's that review on the pitch corrector? anybody play with this on the dps16 yet? and by the way, you were right on with the mindprint envoice choice....it seems to be the best out there right now in that range...but unfortunately, that range is too rich for me right now, but i need...

there is no dps16i that i know of. there are 8 simultaneous inputs. only one has phantom power...maybe 2...i'm not sure because my only mike is the sm58 so i haven't used phantom power yet...the akai site has all the specs you could want on the unit..i'm extremely happy with it...but i'd take...

there is an akai planet bbs...but it's a baron wasteland...we can either all vow to move over there to discuss the dps, or just keep using up space here... either way, i truly believe we should encourage communication. the vs planet bbs is very busy, and i think much information is exchanged...
