Did you try reversing the phase on your mic's pre amp..?

As Rami has stated, if the audio are on separate tracks in the Yammy, .wav files will be separate tracks " IF" you export them that way...Also,since you don't have over eight tracks, if both of these machines has lightpipe in/out, you could send the audio over via Adat out to Adat in..Good luck..

Also, whatever tape player you use, I'd fast forward and rewind the tapes BEFORE playing them..This will help knock off some of the oxide if any is falling off the tapes...Then,before and after you play each tape, clean the heads/tape path..Seems like a lot of work, but believe me it'll be worth...
