I'm assuming you mean getting the MCP and TCP into separate windows. To do this, right click the Mixer tab in your docker, and uncheck Dock mixer in Docker. It now acts as an independent window!

REAPER v3.1 - Better, Stronger, Faster

It's not that it's not the DAW that Logic is, it's simply not the DAW for you. Some of us use it because it's completely perfect for what we do, not because it's "cheap."

Anyone use Tascam us1641 w/ reaper

I'd recommend reading through the user guide, but go into preferences then Audio -> Device and make sure you have your audio system set to ASIO and your ASIO driver set to your Tascam. Then set your input/output ranges up, and they should show up in your tracks' source input options.

Grab the Power Line - Greg_L original

Seems like the kick may cause the mix to pump a little bit. Other than that sounds great, good job.

    Check out our mix.

I'd say that the drums need to be brought up and compressed a bit more. Everything should share the "up front" spot in metal mixes and right now it seems like only the guitars are there.

Looking for some feedback on this hardcore band's mix

Recorded a band called Nations from Gastonia, NC and I'm looking for a little feedback on this mix/master job. I think it's pretty close to "finished" but know there's something I'm overlooking in it (there always is). More tracks available upon request. Thanks in advance for any input...

    Mastering for CD vs. vinyl

Guess I'm coming off as a little more amateur than I actually am. My mixes tend to turn out sounding pretty good for the gear I'm working with, and usually translate well from system to system. I'm becoming more adept with mastering every day and (think I) have the basics of it down. Just...

    Mastering for CD vs. vinyl

Hm. So I guess "mastering" is more a collective of different parts of making the final product. I always considered mastering making the mix come alive, then called song order/fades/preparation for CD "arranging." Guess I can just call it all mastering then :p

    Mastering for CD vs. vinyl

Ah, I always had the idea that the vinyl mastering you're talking about was different from actual mastering, and that audio would have to be mastered before being sent anyway. *Learns something new every day* That's simple enough. Thanks.
