I know it's odd right - but when i had problems back in the USB days 10 times out 9 it was the USB Cable - shifty ground or slight disconnect or something cablely.
BTW The Square Connector is a USB B style connector.
Why? if you like it it should stay in - for me the guitars and bass and vocals sound fantastic - dare I say better than Daddy Warholso_O. The voices are flowing through the parts better to my ears.
I got to listen to it a few more times - initial thoughts are the recording is well done - interesting stereo spread on the parts - really makes everything pop - only thing I can say is the playing is a little loose - is that the style you were going for?

When he was first playing the two Klons I could clearly hear the differences - the Moskey was Brighter and slightly Thiner - when he upped the gain they were simlilar although the Moskey was still brighter (not in a good way) - a $6970 difference though? Not on your life,

It means they are doing weird distorting things, breaking up, overloading, etc. That's called splatter, and is sometimes caused by the compressor/limiter being hit too hard in mixing - and sometimes just letting them wash out too much.
Do the templates have the timing of the drums built into them? Meaning sometime you want to push the snare a couple of ticks in front of the beat - and the hi-hat one tick in front - and then the kick locked into the beat -
Kontakt Player is free - But you can’t create or manipulate samples with it - Are you wanting to create Mellotron type sounds? It’s a bit hard to emulate a Mellotron - part of the sound is the mechanics involved - tape playback - worn out tape after a bunch of playback - Limited Frequency...
For playing samples use Kontakt - and if you are after a specific tone - like tape wow and flutter and semi decreased frequency response - just build it into your samples.
3 Layers offset by 2 inches - so 9 inches total - would give great isolation - but drywall alone is not enough - especially if your walls are parallel - you should put up deflecting panels as well - the sound can’t travel far with these in place.
