FS: Sansamp RBI rackmount bass preamp

Perfect condition. I have the original packaging and all that good stuff. This thing is excellent for a live rig and is even better for DI recording! 200 bucks.

Muttley, Light, anyone with an opinion!

    Thanks for taking a look!

The short neck will be a little easier to work with, and I can do all the work to the body, including carving the top, before the neck is attached. That will cure a lot of headaches that I went through with this last one!

Muttley, Light, anyone with an opinion!

I've spoken to several people already who don't like the exposed neck wood running down the center. Plus, a set neck version will be a lot simpler to build. :D

Thanks. It makes me feel a little better to have someone confirm my opinions. :D

:D I'm not talking about modifying this one, I'm going to build another with the same body shape - but with a set neck.

Muttley, Light, anyone with an opinion!

I should mention that I don't want to add any sort of protrusion to the body in the way of a heel.

I want to build a set neck version of this neck-thru that I built a while back. I'm looking at the size of the neck joint. If I were to use the full width of the neck and extend it to the edge of the pickup cavity, I'm thinking it would be plenty strong - provided there was enough thickness...

Here is a short excerpt of some new material I'm working on, I'd appreciate any comments about the sounds and the mix in general. http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/file.php?id=16489

    pickup wiring......

You can't do something like that if you're talking about a Gibson style 3 way switch. The center position simply connects both at the same time. You don't want to use a push-pull pot or something like that?

Cynic cover - "Veil of Maya"

Thanks fellas. Drums are programmed in Drumkit From Hell Superior, with a shitload of post processing. The dirty guitars are all PODxt. I almost hate to admit that. I used to loath modeling until I got too lazy to mess with mic'ing amps about a year ago. The clean guitar and bass are DI'd...

    Most technical instrumental album

Have you heard Spastic Ink? Same guy, Ron Jarzombek, and just as ridiculous - just not as heavy.

Cynic cover - "Veil of Maya"

Thanks Greg. You think it needs more "presence" as in more high end or just mroe volume overall? It's a fretless bass and I wanted it to stay really smooth sounding. I don't think I would like it if it poked out much more than it does. I might turn it up a little though.

Cynic cover - "Veil of Maya"

This is a pretty cool tune. I can certainly hear the Cynic influence. Thanks for sharing it.
