It is a True large diaphram condenser mic and sounds okay but it has a pretty brittle high end and not a very pronounced low end so you will probably have to EQ it for best results ..... Cheers

If you did want to do it with a single mic then I would go for an Omni-Directional mic as you will get much less proximity effect .....

Make sure you are useing the " MIC " port on your PC and not the " line in" ..... The Mic port will be connected to a shitty mic preamp on your sound card where the Line in port will have a preamp but not with enough gain to amplify a Mic sufficantly ..... It will never sound very good when...

Exactly !!! Stereo needs at least 2 tracks ..... If you want one Mic to come out of both speakers just pan your one Mic center .....

Also don"t record a track while listening to another track on your monitors , Use Headphones when Tracking use monitors when Monitoring , you don"t want what is coming out of the monitors to be recorded through the mic .... Cheers

What level do you record at ?? Most DAW"s will set the recording level to 0db at default , if you move the recording level down to say -18db you will have a lot more headroom before the DAW clips ... And it is good to set your mic preamp volume fairly low , With a dynamic mic and a loud Cab...

I also like to record the whole band at once , what i do is record everyone line out or DI out till you got the Drum takes perfect , then re-record the Guitar and Bass with a Mic then delete the Line in Tracks ..... This way there is no Drum mic bleed but also Mic"d guitar and bass tracks ...
