There is no volume control that I can find for the metronome in Cubase LE. To adjust the metronome settings you go to Project--->Tempo Track
You can adjust the tempo, time signature.....but no volume control.
Your name is on the record, but people know the difference between a bad drummer and a bad engineer. Like I said earlier, I'm down with editing mistakes, within reason. Not if it's going to cause you a bunch of grief. The guy is a sloppy drummer, after he hears the recording he'll probably...
Drumagog has an option that says Auto-align. I think that works sometimes for cleaning up sloppy off time hits, maybe, I'm not really sure.
While we're on this subject, what are your views on fixing up sloppy musician's errors on a recording?
Just the other day I recorded a band, and I went...
This sounds like a good technique right up my alley, I might try this one myself cause that will get a good amount of the snare in an overhead rather then having to close mic it cause I hate how that sounds most of the time. Any tips on keeping those 2 mics out of the drummers way(over the...
That's really odd that you mention that, because just last night I had the idea of doing that, but I wasn't sure if it's even something you can do. I have some guitar tracks recorded that sound bad but I want to "re-amp" them, but i guess I can't do that unless it's being done with the D.I...
Two questions:
Do most of you prefer to crank your guitar amp super loud(like the volume you would use when practicing or gigging) or do you like to keep it relatively quiet? I know lately I have preferred the results of turning it up super loud. I recorded a punk band and did this and it...
Make sure that if you have the monitor switch on while the singer is tracking it(so that they can hear themself in the headphones more) that you switch it off for playback or that will result in little-no playback of the vocal track.
Recently I recorded a band, and it was a joint effort with another guy. He brought along a vintage Shure mic, maybe from the 60s or 70s, and we used it on the snare drum. I wish I could remember the model, but it sounded great! Well I'm thinking about buying some vintage microphones to use on...
I wouldn't close mic the crashes, it always just sounds too harsh. In fact I try to keep my overhead mics as high as they can go, because I prefer a more subtle soft cymbal sound. I did a recording yesterday and tried some new mic techniques, some of which I recently learned on here. Here was...
I'm not sure if you ever got this figured out but if you're still wondering, presonus.com has it layed out if you go to downloads, or support. I know you have to download new drivers, but it tells you how to do everything. I think the instructions suck though but you will figure it out.
Recently a friend and I we're recording some drum samples at our practice space. We had two different drum sets to work with. We were curious about some tom micing techniques so we decided we wanted to try micing the bottom of the toms instead of the top. On one of the drum sets it sounded...
Hey this is my first post. Here we go...
I need some suggestions on how to get the snare drum in my recordings to sound more like I want them to sound. Now I realize that if the snare drum doesn't sound good live then it isn't going to come through good on the recording.
When soloing just my...
