    Did you try ... other microfoon ??? (moister and dirt can f**ck up you mic ) .. other mic input on the vs ?? .. sample rate/dither on the pre ?? .. other pre ??? the vs machine got its own pre's , try that just for the test hope this helps remco

    the Emc8000 is not to bad on vocals, if you like a natural sounding voice, even when you sing close 2 the mic. A lot of folks don't like it because there are used 2 hear the 'hyped' sound from vocalist mic's. if you wan't a more hyped sound from the emc you need 2 eq it. example: 90hz + 3db ...
