New Amp Peavey JSX 212 Recorded on this metal tune...

I think I could get amplitube to be a bit more ballsy. I listed to some stuff I did with a POD using their Tripple recto model and a tube screamer and it sounds very similar to the JSX recording. Now I'm scratching my head. I just payed a pretty high amount for the JSX and the recording of the...

New Amp Peavey JSX 212 Recorded on this metal tune...

I think it really comes out when your are palm muting and chugging. I'm going to experiment and turn up the amp a bit more when I record next time. It already was pretty freaking loud when I was recording. The clean channel was shaking stuff off the table lol...

New Amp Peavey JSX 212 Recorded on this metal tune...

Thanks. I'm going to add a link to a song using amplitube at the top post to compare.

New Amp Peavey JSX 212 Recorded on this metal tune...

Hey all. I just got a Peavey JSX 212 after much back and forth about what amp to get. I ended up like the sound and overall quality of the JSX combo. Plus this thing is loud. Pick Your Head Up (256Kbps MP3) So what do you think? Does it sound better than the amp modelers and VST plug ins? I...

    Burning June: Uploaded new mix

Sounds like you are using a pitch correcter on your vocal tracks and it seems to abrupt. I really noticed it around 0:55. Maybe it isn't but it sure sounds like it. The cymbals don't seem to have enough crispness to them, which may be due to the soundclick mp3 encoding. I'm just used to hearing...

New Hard Rock Song My Wrists and Hands Hurt

I haven't had that problem with soundclick but I have with myspace. I used less reverb than normal on my vocals and did natural doubling on everything. Maybe I'm compressing to much or something. I really think it just needs more reverb to blend in better with the song. Yea, I'm not thrilled...

New Hard Rock Song My Wrists and Hands Hurt

I think I need to actually tighten the snare part of the snare and tune it up a bit. I'll do a bit more boost on the low end so you can feel that kick in the chest lol...

New Hard Rock Song My Wrists and Hands Hurt

Thanks for checking it out. Yea, that clicky sound on the kick sometimes makes the kick sound thin. I've heard a couple of "pro" album and the kick had no omph behind it. I have a 6 Piece Gretsch Renown Maple with some custom work on it and I think a custom finish. I bought it used from a...

the ghost who fell in love.....

Cool sounding song. The singing is very good too. Definitely like Iron Maiden in that chorus part. I think somebody already said about the guitar maybe being out of tune sounding sometimes. Sounds like maybe you tuned down and your guitar may not be used to it. Sometimes your voice is very out...

    Old guy playin metal

HOLY DIVER!!! :D It does have that same feel to it. Sounds pretty good.

    Do I suck?

It definitely sucks that you can't belt it out due to where you are recording. Sounds like you have an idea of pitch and how to sing. Just keep on practicing when you are alone. Sing to yourself and such. It really helps.

    Ramblin On My Mind

Overall it sounds good. I'm not familiar with the original because I don't listen to the blues. The guitar playing is great all the solos and such. I'd expect the vocals to be a bit more dramatic sounding. Again not hearing the original you could be spot on and I wouldn't know the difference.

    What should we do?

Just do it again. The more you record and play the better you get at it.

New Hard Rock Song My Wrists and Hands Hurt

Stranger Man Above is the link to the song over at soundclick. This is one I worked on with my buddy that does the Three After band with me. The drum track could be played better and I will be redoing it. My right wrist and hand seem to have issue now. I think I need some impact gloves or...

Please Help Me, Which is a better idea here bandwise

Yea, I like the heavy stuff. That is why I always keep SJS going. It's like an outlet from Three After when I was actively singing for them. Chaosphate is actually willing to drive out to me to practice. Also, they play whatever I write. But then that leaves all the writing up to me. Also...

Please Help Me, Which is a better idea here bandwise

Alright. I've been around here for a good amount of time and I'm pretty sure many of the members have heard various songs that I've put out. Now I really would like to know what my fellow musicians is a better sounding and more promising band, Three After, Chaosphate, or Straight Jacket Sunday...

    What about this mix? Advices?

I am listening to the 007 version that you remixed. The guitars are really loud it seems. I think the bass is really mid range sounding. It almost sounds like a synth style bass. Other than that, it sounds pretty dang good and some good playing there...

    Choppers leaving Saigon

The only thing out of place for me here are the vocals. They sound on top of everything. They would do well being mixed into the rest of the song rather than on top of everything.

    Is the bass too strong?

Sounds pretty good to me. Not a whole lot of low end in this. I think everybody else has pretty much said what needs to be said about it.

    Who needs expensive equipment?

Sound quality is good. The pitch correction effect is just terrible. I'm not sure why anybody would like that. The drummer definitely needs to practice his/her timing.
