adobe audition 1.5 okay look i just opened cool edit and had a vocal track in single view and i tried a fx cakewalk plug in and its an error..i opened sony plugin an worked but not cakewalk or cfx the error says unable to initialize the requested directx plugin.what causes that? and one more...

i use cool edit for vocal recording. its real user freindly and switching from multi track view to single to edit is the iceing on the cake.

cakewalk vs. cool edit i think cool edit is more flexible than cakewalk. i like switching views on an individual track in cool edit. is there gonna be a sound difference between the 2 as far as recording vocals? :cool:

i been using edit wrong this whole time then. what i was doing was each individial vocal track i would switch views and take out hiss and add reverb for each individual vocal track. then mix everything down with instrumentals at once instead of mixing all vocals first take out hiss and add a...

can anyone tell me when recording vocals what effects should i use to bring out the vocals. like reverb. and anyone has a % amount to use of reverb that sounds good. i use the preset ones and is a bit much. which effect should i use and how much reverb to use? :(

oh is that it it will crack even if its just playing a wav file from the hard drive? anyway i dont have an audio interface i have one shipping to me right now its a MAudio Audiophile USB Audio. not here yet.but just loading a wav file into the cakewalk will cause cracking upon playback? :confused:

i just got this program.i was using cool edit pro and still love it. but cakewalk when tried to import an audio file which is an instrumental wav file,upon playback it is very cracky. how do i fix. or is it even worth switching from cool edit? :(
