Yeah, any program designed to read text files should work. In fact, Win2k and XP both come with a "narrator" program that'll read to you...I think there are several voice options. Fruity Loops has built in vocal capabilities. Haven't seen any plugins.

Unfortunately, there aren't many mac users on the board, and there are even fewer MOTU users. Not that Macs or MOTU systems are bad...that's just the way it is at the moment. Hope somebody pops in with an answer for you.

Dang, anybody else having a lot of luck with 3.2.3? Despite its somewhat bulky interface, it's working really well for me. I'm getting usability up to 95% CPU load where with 3.2 I was only getting 85 or so before dropouts would occur. Fruity Loops VSTi and a couple other issues I mentioned...
Hard to say without knowing the model & make of the motherboard...or how much and what kind of memory....or the processor ...or the power supply ..and how you're going to cool it...video card...etc.
Unless you have a lot of money to spend, I wouldn't go throwing it all at 300GB hard drives...
Hey man, sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I did get your email but was gone last week and haven't caught up on everything yet.
Volume II is $22 shipped to MI. Volume 1 is $17 shipped to MI. However, I'm not sure I have any Volume 1 left, I'll have to see after I ship tonight.
If I have...
An audio application like n-Track doesn't have to be concerned about whether a particular soundcard is ISA, PCI, USB, or Firewire. It is up to the card's manufacturer to provide a driver that offers the necessary interface for software to communicate with the soundcard.
Thus, it shouldn't...
File->Settings->Preferences->Paths->Soundcard's Mixer Control Path .... change it from the soundblaster control panel to the delta control panel, deltapnl.exe .

Version 2 and previous serial numbers will not work with version 3 and greater. You are required to purchase an upgrade.
If you had version 3 serial numbers but lost them, then you can contact Flavio directly via the n-Track website and he will provide you with the codes, assuming that you can...
That's of course a "fake tube" design that a lot of manufacturers are producing. You're not getting an all tube preamp for $40.
That said I like the ART Tube MP which is a similar design but about $80. The behringer might be alright, never know till you try.

P.S. I don't believe that "importance" = "money". Satisfactory results can certainly be had with budget gear...you just can't skip things. Plugging a mic into a soundcard is skipping something. Using a $7 plastic microphone is skipping something. Using an ESS soundcard is skipping...
Everything is equally important in the signal chain. If there's something that could be sacrificed without having a negative effect, then why are you using it?
The only thing I can think of that isn't of "major" importance are cables...as IMO they only have a seriously negative impact if...
Got a bunch of stuff in. The jewel cases are super nice and at around 50 cents each for 3 disc chubbies I think we got a great deal. I'll post links to some of these suppliers later in case some of you are looking for some of this stuff for your personal projects. I also got the mailers and...
