thats what scares me about digital...no knobs! Who the hell wants to go through pages of instructions and layers on menus to perform a simple function. Until the manufactures get it right and install a simple knob function I'll stay away from digital.
hollowbody guitars
I always wanted a hollowbody but didnt think I could afford a new one. what about an epiphone casino? Any good? I play a 1992 strat. :(
first song
1966 maybe ,an old radio shows theme song WILD WEEKEND. The kid next door started taking lessons and like a previous post said all he could do was scales and little brown jug! I was showing him some Beatles and Stones and his music teacher told him I was a bad influence! used to go...
garage studio
yes, you will have to heat it and control the humidity especially in summer. Excess humidity will RUIN you equipment. I heat my small garage-end studio with a oil-filled electric heater and use a portable de-humidifier to control humidity. ;)
humidity
I also have a wall unit ac in my studio. I use a dehumidifier to control humidity
in summer and a oil-filled portable heater for clean, quiet heat in winter. I built an insulated box cover to put over the wall unit inside. A humidity meter is a must. I try to keep the level in the...
mk111
I have had a mk111 for about two years in my home studio. It works great and the instruction book is easy to understand. The 4 track simulationus recording feature is great for a small band. You wont be disappointed. ;)
tascam digital unit
saw it in musicians friend last week. how many tracks can you record at once? its sounds like the perfect bridge to digital recording since im digitally challenged! :o
portastudio
I always mike my amp instead of plugging directly into my porta.I tried it and it totally sucked. On the back of your porta you have two line out rca jacks. plug your cords from these outputs to the"in" rca jacks on your mixdown deck and press play on the porta and away you go. :)
art box
I use an ART phantom power box with my condenser mike and hook to my 424 and its sounds great. Go with xlr cable from mike to "in" on box then xlr cable from"out" on box to xlr on the 424 on whatever channel you wish to use. You will like the result! :)
424
the 424 uses a voltage reducer, the black box in the power cord. It might be dead. If not its an internal power problem. I own one but have never had it opened up.
