    would it be?

I record in my basement. It's like 25 x 40. My gear is in one corner. Outside walls are block, floor is concrete, with a 12x12 carpet on floor. Ceiling is 9" insulation in the joists. My question is, would it be worth making some kind of treatment that would hang from the ceiling to make two...

    what to do?

worked perfect. I used a tiny drill bit, drilled thru the pin, then used a little bigger bit, and slowly drilled it thru, and when I backed out the bit, the pin came on out. Glad it wasn't glued. Now to find a new pin. Thanks for ya'lls' input. Dan

    Rock & Roll...no....not Zeppelin....

hey joro. I may try this out a little later. It's a little fast for me, but I need to practice anyway. My son, Nick, the baseball player, has to had "slap" surgery on his shoulder Mon.AM, so we'll be busy for a few days. He's having the deal done at Duke, by the doc that does the Blue Devils'...

thanks guys. and Clive, it's the end pin, the plastic one, that as Lt. Bob says, it's normally just shoved in. I know when I got my Martin, the end pin came seperate, and I had to shove it in. I think I have some of those easy-outs. they're real samll in dia. that sounds like a good idea also. I...

Would you buy this guitar for $100???

I'm not an electric player of any sorts, but by reading all the reviews, the prices paid ran from like 50.00 to 750.00. That sure seems like a big range. But my thought is, if it stays in tune, pickups work, switches all work, and the action is good, 100.00 might be ok. There are a lot of fine...

git taken care of and a new mandolin to boot!

never went to any websites for instruction, so I can't help there. But my thought is to learn the major chords, where you can play'em without much trouble, and then listen to every bluegrass tune you can get hold of. Learn to get that percussive rhythm chop sound by damping the strings while...

    what to do?

man, we played Wed. nite, and when we finished up I was taking my strap off and the end pin snapped off. It snapped off clean with the rest of the pin still in the guitar (acoustic, 26 year old, Alvarez). What should I do? See if it can be knocked out, or maybe drill it out with a smaller bit...
