they're all "overpriced"..........wouldn't it be great if everything was like half of their "normal" price.....all the time. me thinks the "vintage" market has a lot to do with it. The freaking mandolin market is just outa hand, at least IMO.

as is always said about this stuff.............and you're doing the right thing......playing a bunch of different axes. my HD28 was picked out of 5, which all came in the same day, and I watched'em unpack'em. Only one spoke to me. I'm sure this would be true for any of the brands you tested.

3rd anal RP/HR acoustic mini-fest....... april 21-22-23 south boston, va. last year was big. N.Y., Ct., Mass., Vermont, N.C. were all represented. the deal is pretty much just like the big jamfest, only smaller. :D :D lotsa room for camping, indoor sleeping arrangments, and lotsa food...

these are some VERY nice boxes for their price range. I"ve been really looking hard at the BR180, I think that's the number, for a second, or travel, etc. guitar. I have a friend that has the lower end, BR70, and it's a sounder for sure. These guitars are really the talk around the bluegrass...

oh, yeah.....if'in you do get it, and find you want more info about the mando, and learning....get over to mandolincafe.com. bunch of good folks there, and check out their classified forum.....some good mandos always there, when you want a better one.

my fingers hurt just looking at that. like anything, it'll be a hit or a miss. If you do get one with a straight neck, and can get the action down where it's comfy, it'll do. Personally, from experience, and I was interested, I'd get something a little better. But then again, talking gear...

we do this all the time...............as many as 4-6-7 folks around 1-2 condenser mics.........granted, I use pres and LDC mics. I tried the 57s the same way.........you will be disappointed............my thoughts are to get the band members to chip in..........and go all the way, with some pres...

dang right it works.........I put my coat hanger/stocking filter on one of those flexable goose necks, I think 18", and it made a world of difference in being able to place it.
