The Wharfies come in a "stereo" home audio/monitor version (unshielded) and a "Pro" (shielded) version.
From what I have read the spec are pretty close but you probably don't want to used the unshielded ones near a PC video monitor and since we are in the Computer forum and these are near field...
You might PM Green Hornet he is a 2816 owner/user if he does not buzz in himself.
I settled for theAW16G for my needs but the 2816 would have been my first choice mostly for the 24 bit storage and some expansion options.
I still love and am amazed wtih my G though.
Patience gentlemen.
I know it is not compatable with GAS but hang in there.
Deepwater always comes through but he does travel a bit with his full time job.
To me the better price is worth the wait but if you need imediate responses there are always the big online guys.
I am still loving my...
Check the Wharfedale Diamond Pro Monitor thread in the Other Gear category.
Deep Water has the best price and great service!
From a very satisfied customer :)
I had two 3630's and sold them both for $40 or $50 after searching for some DIY Mods and never finding any.
Used the $$ to buy cables at Mars going out of business sale and never looked back.
Would not buy one again.
1. Definitely KC and the Sunshine band
2. Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five
3. Cheap Trick
4. The Baby's (Brittish band opened for Journey in 1980) Midnight Rendevoux and back on my feet again
5. Yanni live at the Accropolis...very cheesy I know but the bass player on that is killer and...
Ron can definitely hook you up with the no dot or inlayed fretboard.
I have never priced his necks but in 91 or so I got a custom built 24 fret 4 string with EMG P/U and electronics, ebony fretboard, maple neck with the graphite rods along side the truss rod for under $900.
He does everything...
You might give this guy a shot

He is a local luthiere here in Oklahoma City.
I can personaly vouch for his work and I had a custom bass built by him as well and he does outstanding work for much less than Warmoth.
Check out his gallery and there is a...
I second the Carvin necks!
I ordered a Carvin bass but did not care for their pickups and sent it back but I absolutely loved the neck and fingerboard.
So much so that when I built my fretless I ordered a Carvin neck for it. They have outstanding quality control, wood and I love their ebony...
I have one but have not used it yet.

Thanks for your insight Lambo,
The reasons I'm looking at some close mic options are;
1. My "studio" is in my untreated bedroom right now but there is an attached tiled bath if I want to try to get some natural early reflections in the room sound. I don't really have a good "room" sound that I...
Lambo,
I am enjoying my Cube 30 and have been experimenting with reamping through the Cube 30 for micing.
Being that I am more of bass player and songwriter than a performing or recording guitarist (and very out of practice) I may often need twenty or thirty takes to really get what I want...
My purposes for reamping are a little different but not uncommon.
Since I pretty much just record myself at home (with a wife and kids around most of the times) I always DI first and reamp at an opportune time and I have a signal going the the amp so I can adjust the mic positioning etc...that...
Well I did some 'sperimentin and layed down a clean Tele part as a virtual track but this song really requires some fuzz and it just sounded so anemic....
Sansamp pedal into the amp sounded good for some things live.
I was unimpressed with the Senhieser E609 silver for micing this modeling amp...
Thanks Deepwater.
So far I only have 1 MXL V67M, 2 Octavia MC-012's, 1 SM-57 and 1 609 silver.
Right now I am just doing instrumental guitar, bass and drum machine.
Eventualy I want to do some live drums and vocals.
I expereimented with reamping my new Roland Cube 30 and so for I preferred...
While I of course plan to do trials of different ways of doing this I was wondering when reamping all your electric guitars who had a preference for
1. Getting the guitar about as distorted and EQ'd as you want it on the way in and reamping that with a fairly "flat" setting on the amp versus -...
Deepwater,
What mic's and applications have you found the Tampa to excell at?
I have one but have not put it to great use yet. I did not detect much difference with selectable impedance switch on dynamic mics but I have not tried any condensors with it yet.
The compressor sounds very...
Deepwater beat me to it but David (Deepwater) offers great service, does more than keep his word and had the best prices on what I ordered.
I would absolutely do business with him again anytime!
