I looked up piezos on RadioShack.com. They are cheap, but I still need a drum set, cymbals, stands, another snare, thrown, sticks, pedal, module cables, and amps. From what I can tell, it looks like it will cost at least $800 to just buy everything, then I would have to put it all together.

I am interested in an acoustic/electronic set because it seems like the best way to end the debate between the acoustic and electronic war. My question is, has anyone played one before? How good are they? Is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

Does the bass drum have a mesh head?

In the contract, it says the get the final say in everything. The also talked them down to putting up $750 instead of $1,000.

My brother's band just got offered a deal from Deftone Records, http://www.deftonerecords.com. They have to pay for 10% of cost, so they have to put up $1,000 within two weeks. Is that normal?

The only thing I don't like about that is if the screen is bigger than 800 pixels wide, you have a bunch of blank, unused space. To make everything look the same no matter what the screen width, wouldn't you want it to be in a 100% table?
