Please Check Quality of "Too Many Gods, Too Many Wars" Mix

Thanks for the Queen nod - The hollowness might be from a lack of a good bass tone. I'll work on that and repost

Two Years Latter after OP, LMKWYT of Class Warfare

Here is an Update of Class Warfare Thanks, IBleed, for your input. I've ducked the rhythm guitar under the lead vocals, and pulled up some drum instruments, for what I hope will be a better mix.

    Another new Mix -- Feedback?

Agreed. Maybe you could use a plugin like BOD by TSE to get some low end out of the bass.

Please Check Quality of "Too Many Gods, Too Many Wars" Mix

Thanks TM, I was told by VomitHatSteve that the verse guitar could come up a bit. I'll try that, and re-listen to the vocal rides. As far as the robotic elements, I will go back to all my songs and "humanize" them, after I get everything sitting right in the mix.

Starting Final Mixes: Song 1-My Praise

Actually, I didn't get a clean vocal tack, as there where some double tracked vocals that were left in here and there. You are probably hearing the doubles.

Please Check Quality of "Too Many Gods, Too Many Wars" Mix

Ok I'll work on those elements. I'm using a Trilian bass module that is a bit frustrating to make sit well in the mix. Drums are SSD, but eventually, I would love to re-track these songs I'm posting with real instrumentation.

Working with a legendary producer ....

Love this 'cause it's not another over-use of an 808. This mix is good as it sits in my HPs

Are you ready to rumbaaaaa !!!! New "Who We Are" tune

Good stuff here - the whole mix could be a bit wider, with possibly more instruments hard L/R (R Guitars, Perc elements, etc.). Anything else would be nitpicky.

Please Check Quality of "Too Many Gods, Too Many Wars" Mix

There are two guitar segments in the verse - While he is singing and right after. So turn up the guitar parts that occur in between the lead vox, right?

Let the Wells Run Dry with easlern and ibleedburgundy

If you are willing to put the time in, your double could be adjusted to coincide better with the lead vocal. There are plugins like "Vocal Align", but I prefer to do it by hand, either by cutting and moving small sections, or using the time stretch in my daw when syllable lengths don't match.

    Last Ray Of hope

Great song and enjoyed the lyrics. This song is ready for sale to the highest country singing bidder, flatpicker. Now, about that mix, too much reverb for starters (you are a good singer, and there is no need to hide it in all that verb). This genre always requires more bass than you have...

Starting Final Mixes: Song 1-My Praise

    1) You didn't have a close mic on the hi-hat? 2) If you pm the vocal track to me - 44k, 24bit wave file, I'll pitch correct it with Melodyne.

Let the Wells Run Dry with easlern and ibleedburgundy

I like double-tracked vocals - you put in the extra effort, and double or triple tracking lead and harmony vocals makes mixes sound fuller, and more professional - but you do need to bring the double down a bit, especially during the quieter parts. Good song. I do agree with Chili, however...

    For the Last Time (folk/rock)

Still wont put ant reverb on that whistle, heh? (earlier suggestion of mine, but I'm not throwing this song out of bed for that). Yea, if you could just bring up the back-up harmony up, I'm good. Also, the lone organ slide-down and single-note stop at the end doesn't make for a good ending...

You'll Know Why My 1st Name's "Crazy" w This Album Intro Song

The idea was too make the voice-overs dispassionate - less like people, and more like concepts (like a beatnik reading poetry). I'll be working on that bass and editing for length soon.

    Apologies, need a sanity check...

Continuing with this side-bar, the reason why I would like too have members put all their mix updates on the original post is... 1) I don't have to go hunting for the most recent mix. 2) I want to give a un-skewed response to the mix query, without peeking at other mix suggestions. Maybe the...
