hey guys,
I just dug up this old effects box someone gave me. All it says on it is Alesis and MIDIFEX, no product number or anything. It's got effects like "echo long" and "multitap reverb". I think its a guitar effects box (?). At the back its got 2 RCA inputs and 2 RCA outputs, a "mix" knob...
hi,
I'm new to this whole discussion board thing, but I've got a couple of (admittedly pretty poorly recorded) songs that I'd like to get an opinion on. what's a good site to post songs?
hey guys,
can anyone reccomend a program for great funky bass sounds? making pop/rock kinda stuff, so that kinda sound, but anythings good - i just wants somehting phat and chunky to drive my as-yet-bassless compositions. I have FL Studio 4, which I use for beats, but I can't find any suitable...
hmm yeah it's tough when you've got a great chorus that you don't wanna mess up with a crap verse.
I dunno if this is much help, but what I usually do is keep playing over that chorus - the part that I've got sorted, and just sort of see what leads off from it. You don't wanna start from...
I think I got mine for about US 20 bucks off ebay, so I'm not complaining - yet. Will know a bit more when I get a bit more expreience with it, but in the meantime I'm not crying over the money
hey sorry just got onto this site so just saw this thread. I've just purchased a Nady SP-5. Haven't really had much of a chance to use it yet as I'm waiting on a decent pre amp (trying to get an Audio Buddy from New Zealand is a royal pain in the ass). Anyways, it sounds good so far to my ears...
hey,
yeah i think that's the only way to do it (mixing down to wav. and importing that is). thats the way i do it with cool edit pro anyway, but if anyone wants to prove me wrong, go ahead (I'm a bit of a beginner too).
not much help sorry, but there you go
thanks mate,
wasn't expecting miracles from the thing anyways, just had it and i thought i'd make use of it. e-bay's probably the way to go for me, cos I'm doin this from little New Zealand, where decent pre-amps and mixers seem to be @$%^$& expensive or non-existent - and what I would give for...
I think, and this is just the way I do stuff, that you should just go nuts with the lyrics - write whatever the hell comes to your head, write the most embarrasing cheesey terrible lyrics ços no-one sees them till yo're ready anyway. Then leave it for a while, go back to it and you'll probably...
hey, I don't know if anyone will be able to help with this, but I'll try anyway.
I've got an old Teac 144 (Tascam series, apparently -whatever that means), which I'm thinking I could use as a mixer/preamp for computer recording.
1. will this work?
2. will it work well?
3. the "line out" bit...
cheers.
i have been using the mic in (i think) and it's been soudning ok, but it could sound better. really need to pick myself up a cheap preamp or mixer methinks.
thanks for the help
ok this is probably a stupid question, but hey, where else am I going to get the answer?
there are 3 1/8" jacks at the back of my computer, on green, on blue, and one purpl-y. i wanna know which one is which. the green one i plug my speakers into (no I don't have proper moniters yet), and also...
