Standard Old Timey Cassette Recorders - What would you recommend?

Thanks for replying everyone! I really love the sound of these machines, and they are right along the lines of the esthetic for what I am currently working on. Fwiw, I am not interested in any unsolicited debates or opinions involving other peoples' opinions on the "right" way to record. I like...

Standard Old Timey Cassette Recorders - What would you recommend?

Hello. I am quite interested in finding a solid sounding regular old cassette recorder for esthetic purposes. I don't care if that seems silly to you, but if you can help that would be most appreciated! So far I've been looking at a Panasonic rq-2102, and the rq-2739 etc. They seem like they...

PLEASE HELP! Saving Session in Cool Edit Pro

I know that. I just mean in an open session. Resaving the session to mixdown. Does doing so effect the individual source files? No alterations so they stay the same right?

PLEASE HELP! Saving Session in Cool Edit Pro

One last question ha. Does repeat savings of the wav mixdown effect the individual mp3 files? I'm not resaving the individual files, just the mixdown. I wouldn't think it would anyway

If the degradation to the audio has already occured and is permanent? Saving to wave now would keep waves exactly as...

    A bit confused sorry ha

In my cool edit pro sessions I have been saving the final mixdowns as wavs. However, I have been saving the individual tracks as mp3's and then mixing down to wav. If this results in quality loss, should I be converting the individual tracks to wav before mixing down to wav? Will the conversion...
