    Listening to one of your mixes MASTERED.

    after reading this thread, i have one comment. thedewd just wants what almost every young rocker wants. to be famous and have tons of chicks. nothing wrong with that. if he thinks that squashing the mix is going to do then by all means let it be. maybe it will ,maybe it wont get him famous, but...

    proccessor speed vs. actual proccessor

    i think that i read somewhere that AMD catorgorizes its cpu's acording to the comparable cpu's from intel. example intel cpu at 2.8 ghz would be an athalon 64 2800+ even though it runs at 2 ghz. so if this is the way they do it, the athalon 3000+ is being compared to a 3 ghz intel processor.

    using 5 sets of headphones

    buy a behringer Ha4600 or Ha4700. they will support up to 4 mixes and upto 8 headphone outputs. they are pretty inexpensive. you can find them on ebay or you can go to the store and pick up the newest ha model, i believe it is a 4800. ive had my 4600 for years with no problems.

    A cool little website I stumbled upon. How they "got that sound".

    ive been told that petland sells an upgrade kit for the Behringer spector pro. the difference in quality is truly amazing. check s.o.s for a review. also i heard that metalica may be considering a new unit as thier ultra bob rock ilizer is toast.

    d.i.y subwoofer tuning.

    it is a big port for sure. 80 sq. inches with a depth of 13 1/4 inches , this tunes the cabinet for 45Hz. the port turns out to be 24 1/2 "wide x 3 1/4" high. this is what i got from cerwin vega thanks for the info.

    microphone feedback elimination

    i have looked at te behringer feedback eliminator and surprise, i was advised to stay away from it. but its pretty cheap so i might take a crack at it. the guy probably had no experience with it and asumed that behringer = crap,you know the same old same old. i was hoping to get some practical...

    microphone feedback elimination

    everyone that i have talked to said to stay away from the auto eliminators. i have heard that some require the feedback to sustain for too long of a period to detect the correct frequencies and set the notch accordingly. thus the potential to damage the speakers, plus i would really like to...
