    Pop song sort of...

Professional production, and sweet tune, i agree :) But i thought i'd counterbalance the overall positive comments, just to be annoying :D I don't like the "chorus" at all, and someone commented about the track sounding very compressed; i too wish it were more dynamic, but that's also in the...

    an original hard rock tune

the sm57 is good, i used it a lot a long time ago, but even a cheap condenser mic will do miracles... no need for a neumann for 8,000 dollars.... i paid about 200 for mine, a chinese no-brand thing..... i would check out the budget choices, but mics are personal things, what sounds good for one...

    I dunno....noise pop?

hm, i made a comment earlier and it must have either not gone through or turned up elsewhere :D just wanted to say i disagree about the arrangements, i think they're fine! you're not far off the mark at all. You need a top-notch performance and a top-notch mix, but the song is good, the feel...

just joined the forum, here's a softpunky song...

thanks mate :) i can't believe you pinpoint the vocals, because even though i've decided to go with them, the take wasn't as angry as earlier ones (have recorded the song a few times). The "local gymnasium" line in the beginning is a quote from Guy Stevens, a legendary producer who was trying...

Hi everybody!, I've got a new rock track I'm trying to get people to listen to, you can have it here. It's a 1-2-3-4 singalong with a great guitar lick!, even if I do say so myself. Catch you later :) -Mad Mush
