I'm trying to figure out how to direct monitor with my delta 1010. What I want to do is send the incomming signal AND the signal comming out of cubase to the monitor mixer. I can't figure out how to do this in the m-audio patch bay. Its driving me crazy! any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've been having trouble finding an 8 channel mic pre thats in my price range... everything I see is either ADAT lightpipe out, or all digital out... lameness. All I need as some analog outs to go into my Delta 1010. Any suggestions? I'm looking to spend well under $1,000. Thanks

I dont know about your sound card, but some manufacturers don't have very good ASIO drivers (especially creative labs). Try switching to the directX driver and see if your latency improves at all. When I was using my crappy sound blaster it took my latency down to 14ms from 750ms. It was almost...

SM-58? nah. Thats not the mic to RECORD vocals with... its more of a live mic. You don't need a sound-proof booth to record vocals into a condenser. In fact, I would recommend getting a high quality condenser for vocals... especially if thats all you're recording. May I suggest the AKG C...

this is rediculous. I can't format my hard drive. Windows XP doesn't have a command prompt that isnt a shell in windows. When I boot from a floppy I can't access my hard drive. I've tried boot disks from Windows 95, 98 and XP. I've tried booting from a CD, same thing. Can't access my hard drive...

I tried it... it doesn't. You can't format the drive windows is running on. You gotta run it in MS-DOS mode and enter 'format C:'

I agree... I was blown away by Cubase SX after using VST 5.1 for so long.

I've used Cubase SX on a mac before and it seemed pretty solid. Its a really nice program... I think I prefer it over protools.

The Delta 1010 has been great to me so far... the only drag is that there's no mic pres, no, headphone out, and no dedicated monitor out (you have to just use the 1/2 outs at the main monitor outs)
