I think in that range I'd be looking at Collings, Santa Cruz, Breedlove, Froggy Bottom, Goodall or Larrivee. Maybe an OM, OOO or Small Jumbo size for versatility. Good luck, I wish I had your problem ;)

Thanks for the suggestions. This is a fairly expensive acoustic guitar (a Santa Cruz) and I really need it to get there in good shape.

The original case.

I just sold a guitar on E-Bay, now I have to ship the damn thing. Any suggestions for making sure it arrives in one piece? I know to put some padding below the headstock in the case and to detune. Anything else I need to be aware of?

I woukld suggest looking for a used Fender Blues Deluxe, then add in some flavor of Distortion, and maybe a wah of some sort.

My main gigging amp is a Fender Cyber Deluxe. For my needs, it's a perfect fit. Italso records nicely. I have A/B'd it against Blackface and Tweed Deluxe's, and honestly, there's not a lick of difference. I don't really use any of the high gain settings, mostly because that's not my style...

I use the Sunrise on my main acoustic. It was far and away the best solution for me. I have literally tried every system under the sun, and that one sounded the best. You really do need to get the preamp box to make it sound the best. I think it's also an 18 volt system. As always, YMMV.

You left Larrivee off that list. Not that I would vote for them over Santa Cruz, but they are an excellent company.
