Thanks for all the comments. Something very weird happened- for some reason, the track changed from "Angels" to Silent Night". I don't know why, I didn't delete it. Regardless, I appreciate the comments on both tracks and they are very helpful as always.

Sounds great, mix is right on the money. My only suggestion (and this is very nit-picky): I'd consider shortening the intro by 8 measures. Excellent production all the way around.

Sounds very good, I like the panning. The drums could be wetter and have a little variation. Maybe more shaker sounds or tambourine at sections. Nice work!

Cool track. Love the wah guitar. As already mentioned, vocals need boosted about 2-3 dB. In addition, the rhythm guitar could be lowered by that much. Other than that, I think it's one of your best tracks.

The arrangement doesn't quite work. Either that, or the song doesn't quite work, take your pick. :) It doesn't go anywhere. I'm waiting for a synth pad to sneak in, a drum to kick off a new section, a modulation, etc. The performances are good, I enjoyed them. The reverb needs to be backed off...

Yeah, I'm playing the violin solo and 3-4 of the backing string tracks.

All the strings on this are real. There are 4 string players: 3 violinists and one cello. Each player did at least 3 tracks in addition to the solos, so the "orchestra" has at least 12 real string parts. This is true for the whole album I'm making, real strings. If there are any synth strings...

I only used Bolero as an example, it's not patterned after it at all. Regardless, I think the solution might be to have the bass moving more in the B sections, to give it a different feel. I don't think there's enough contrast between sections, and a moving bass line might help that.

Hmm, interesting comment, thank you. I was trying for an effect that may not be working as I expected: I was going for "Bolero", with the same pattern in the bass and bells over and over, and only changes in orchestration. But the bass changing up might be needed, I'm glad you caught that and...

I think some pads in the background would be very helpful. It sounds a little sparse, not much is going on. The production itself is very good, the vocals are a bit weak but sound better in the chorus with the harmony.

Well done, lots of good things. My main suggestion would be to cut the intro in half, I think the song wants to begin right away. I might also suggest a wider pan, but it's a very nice mix and a good song.
