    Equalizer plug ins

Yeah, Went to Sony Pro Tools, downloaded free 15 day trial eq. I couldn't figure out how to get it to open, gave up, and decided to make the most of the eq built into my Zoom. Turns out, the Zoom on its own, seems to do what I want it to. It just took a little more experimenting, but...

Does anybody use one of these?

Very good point JR, "All the noise, all the noise noise noise!" We recording nuts miss out on a lot of fun toys, do to the noise. I too, have gotten very picky about noise, barefoot to ground, and face east. This is my quiet zone, how about you? GT

Does anybody use one of these?

In honor of Major Tom, http://www.zzounds.com/a--2676837/item--DANDJ14 The only thing, I don't think the Dano can use a wall wart, the Boss can. GT

Does anybody use one of these?

Need a new toy, thought this might be fun, and maybe even necessary. Thought it might work nicely in front of my Pod. Yes, no? If anyone knows if this is any good would love to hear about it!! http://www.zzounds.com/a--2676837/item--BOSGE7 GT

    Equalizer plug ins

Hi, Can anyone recommend a good software for installing a good ten band eq into my computer. Also I am using a Zoom MRS-4 four track, that uses smart media card manager software to transfer virtual tracks to wav. How would this work with a eq plug in, or would it? I love the spectrum...

    Dirty little ditty

OK, I remixed this, after listening to it a few times, I wasn't happy with the low end, sounded anemic. Basically brought the bass up. sjctrs, Thanks for the listen, glad you liked it, love to jam, for better or worse. antij, Thanks, I think you may like the remix better, as the bass plays...

What is a "power attenuator" and how is it used?

Hey Firebird, How are ya? I think Randell makes a speaker in an totally enclosed box that you put a mic in and shut the top. Then you can crank it up really loud, and not blow your ears. This sounds like the ticket for recording overdriven guitar amps, without damaging your hearing. GT

    back to basics

I got to say, No kidding your voice is equal 50/50 Charlie Daniels, and Mic Jagger. Absolute first thought that popped into my head, when your song started playing. Really nice tune, recording and playing all around!! GT

For all you rock/Metal lovers....."The Beautiful People"

Damn, I just love the sound of them drums!! You are correct, this is one fine production!! This type of tune can usually come off sounding pretentious, but not a hint of it in this tune, very honest sounding. The whole package is very catchy, got to give it a ten. Great work!!! GT

    Tech 21 Acoustic DI?

Hey JR, Still remember our cheap vs. expensive guitar debate? Had to go back for another listen, still think the DI Sample, is one of the best acoustic sounds I've heard, very natural, with none of that what I like to call rubber band direct in string sound. Very nice playing too!! GT

    rust

foreverain, Try to find replacement screws at a marine supply store. These stores often sell stainless steel screws, that are made for salt water. Put these on your guitar, no more rust!! GT;)

    Forearm body ground...........

Copper tape, that craft stores sell would work. I made my own slot car track, and used it before. You could solder a wire with a aligator clip to it, and then run it to a ground point on the back of a strat, where the strings feed through, and then run the tape up to where you rest your...

    Firebird.....

Yeah, It seems to me that higher action equates with more feeling, especially when you bend the strings, seems like you can get a better grab, with higher action. I suppose if you're one of those super fast lead players, lower action is better, but I think for the rest of us, higher action...
