In the roughest since, you can use any mixer and rig it to connect to the input on your laptop's onboard soundcard and record it. Is it a good idea? No. You should look into a cheap recording interface, which will bypass your laptops (most likely subpar) soundcard. Something like this
....And swirl paint jobs are quite easy to do. Plenty of youtube videos on it. Basically, you need a big bucket or tub filled with warm water, a box of borax, and some oil based humbroil paint. Just avoid the pink and green Steve Vai gay colors.
I am often surprised at the mentality of new drummers when it comes to mic selection (I don't know how relevant it is to this thread but it is worth mentioning anyway) as they tend to go for good mics on the kit (mainly snare and kick) and then when it comes to overheads they use whatever cheap...

If you read the description it reads: "The sound was captured with three microphones, one for the kick drum and two Milab VM44 behind me capturing the drums in stereo."

Certainly not knocking them. I've been looking at them for a bit myself. The set-up thing isn't so much a problem for me because I know my way around a guitar well. Your description of the stock pickups comes as no surprise as that's generally the case for most stock pickups.
Yeah, the Agiles are ridiculously long scaled. I have read a few reviews on them and they, so far, have been mixed. The most common complaint is that they come delivered with poor fit and finish. A few have alluded that they doubt that the guitars are ever touched by a human after being strung...
Born out of a need to inflict as much pain on the human eardrum as possible, I bring you ANECROGENESIS. A gore-fest of horror metal to use as the sound track for the coming zombie apocalypse. You may think it's all in good fun but is it?

This sounds much more balanced. I think you have overcompensated by pulling out too much bottom end. The bass guitar could use a little more grunt to it.
