    Battle of the Bands Track

Fix the guitar sounds ASAP! They sound like a boss distortion pedal going direct into a board at line level. Song idea is good, but the guitar sound makes the whole recording sound ameturish. just my opinion.

    Fresh ears needed V2.0

liking guitar sound and vox right off the bat. IMO, snare lacks crispness, is it a live snare? Love the guitar counterpoint in the pre chorus. Very catchy, sounds like a dual rectofier? Acoustic direct? Great mix. Home studio? If it is, your "in over your head" :D A+ very very good.

Tough job with this one- need second opinions

I dig it, good use of effects. Drum beat needs to be looked at in the first verse. Still not in love with it by the second verse. Harp or whatever it is sounds cool, and lyrics sound as if they were written for david bowie, which is very cool as well. Wasnt crazy about the little guitar bends...

Comments on my latest track please

cool, very catchy. The vox track grew on me. Some of the guitar tones Id have done different. I like the envelope filter or wha stuff, whatever it is. Neil Schon lead guitar tone, late 70's journey, I love that stuff. Overall, 90 out of 100.

    Two As One-Guitars

I have an ESP MII deluxe from the late 80's with EMGs and its a great shred guitar but lousy clean sound. There are some sh*t tube heads (krank) and some great solid state amps. An engineer once told me " you cant polish a turd" so if you think a piece of gear sucks, you can pair it together...

    Two As One-Guitars

tube amps are the way to go! now your talking! I have a dual rectofier and an old boggie mk II. Great sound for playing out, but a bitch to record with. Can you get a better sound from a tube amp compared to its digital counterpart? yes. However, you can get a far WORSE sound that way too. The...

    Two As One-Guitars

Guitar sound is passable I guess, I think the POD would give you better results though, just my two cents. These porta studios are pretty limiting, Ive been using a Zoom MRS 1608 and have been getting moderate results. My biggest complaint is the drums and latency with the effects. Outboard gear...

    Another song.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=496060&songID=3598837 ok, I think Ive eq'd these drums to death, and they still dont sound much better. Anybody have advice on a stand alone drum machine that will sound better? dfh or computer programs not an option. Something under 500...

    Im new here....SO BE NICE!

affordable, however my computer wont do it :( looks like an awesome program for down the line though, I think Id be able to use these samples in my zoom 1608, right?Maybe I can just get sample files, upload them into my zoom, and use it that way? this program requires 35 gigs, which I only have...

thanks, still lookin for a 200 dollar bass, what is drumkit from hell, where do i buy it and how much?? I think hand drums song has to get the award for the longest reverb ever recorded! (i know thats not a good thing), what will compression do for the acoustic( which there arent any, all those...

the ibanez in that pic is a 1990 Universe green multi color, pretty rare and autographed by the master, Vai. Shred and hand drums was me getting used to my new RG 2027. Thanks for listening.

    Im new here....SO BE NICE!

thats funny, ive been looking at a few basses in the 2 to 3 hundred dollar range. Any suggestions on a stand alone drum machine or outboard effects I should go with next??? Maybe a few more months tinkering with this thing is in order.

I need feedback (no pun intended) on recorded stuff, what will make it sound bigger? Anything to improve on will be appriciated. www.soundclick.com/joeydego
