If you, as a drummer set the tempo during recording, that's fine....but guitarists are impossible to follow as far as time goes....at least for drummers....Drummers set tempo, not follow it. But I'd advise any guitarist doing a recording to leave all tempo issues up to the drummer. Time...

i would suggest dealing with the dead air until your mix is good, get that straight and then mix it down....after you mix it down, cut out the dead air. unless the dead air is like 2 minutes long, its easier this way....it's a pain in the ass to cut each track exactly the same....

I'm not really sure what the card that came in the computer is. I put in a pci card because that's what connects the VM-3100 to the computer. I would assume the Roland card should be pretty decent, why?
