Cheapest Fender vs. Most Expensive Squire

I don't think so -- my comparison earlier + I forgot to mention that the real Fender seemed heavier, so I suspect better wood.

Cheapest Fender vs. Most Expensive Squire

Strats. The cheapest Fender (MexiStrat) was almost 2x the cost of the most expensive Squire Standard Strat, a made-in-Indonesia model I bought. Spent a lot of time in the store playing virtually every Squire strat on the wall. The made in indonesia ones played better but we 30$ more expensive...

    Tascam DP-004

Yeah I saw the promo when it first came out. Its only advantage that I can would be that its small enough to sneak into a live show to make a down and dirty bootleg recording.

    Any black guys here?

Hey ind 1. You will of course never sound black nor will you be able to extend your vocal range beyond what it will naturally do, but you can learn how to put some emotion into your singing-- soul is what we used to call it. Emotion is what it is all about, and no one race has a monopoly on...

making your own midi backing tracks

I can't comment on the capabilities of PC recording software that Nick mentioned, as I use standalone multitrack recorders. Some of those integrated programs may have the ability to edit and/or create MIDI files. As far as doing it separately, my experience so far is: 1. Editing MIDI with PC...

A bit pricey over there but: amazon in uk amazon in uk 2 No idea why amazon uk and amazon here as well each have two different postings with two different prices. I got mine at the local guitar shop, where it was in the sheet music/book section. I got interested in theory when I got a home...

    1x15 cab for guitar?

No offense intended, but just to be sure the speakers are connected correctly. Assuming you are driving the original speakers which have a combined impedance of 8 ohms: 1. Check to ensure that the IMPEDANCE SELECT switch on the back of the amp is set to 8 OHMS. 2. It is unclear to me why a...

What you need to know to start?

Cool tool to help with chords and keys: Chord Wheel Even if you don't buy the chord wheel, the Chord Wheel site has some instructive info on how songs naturally "modulate" between keys, using well known songs as an example.

    1x15 cab for guitar?

Nope, the output of your amp is rated at 60W into a load of 4, 8, or 16 ohms, and a selector switch is provided to match the output impedance of the amp to the load to ensure maximum power transfer. If you connect a second cabinet, its impedance should be 8 ohms (same the combination of the...

I advise care. Fool around with that keyboard too much and you may find yourself becoming more interested in music theory and songwriting, and less apt to spend time practicing those scales on the guitar. I speak from experience.

    Tube Questions

Is AC/DC a metal band? Saw them live couple months ago. Two ancient looking Marshall heads front and center, probably old 200 watters, driving a total of 32 (I think) Marshall cabs stacked 2-high, 16 on each side of the drummer. One mic hanging in front of one cab on each side. No changing...
