Thanks for the comments. I'm the singer! I'm 18/19 - how would I improve my projection?

How does Noel Gallagher have such a massive range?

Hmm ok fair point - his delivery is quite powerful though, it seems he never struggles as such.

    Evaluate my band!

Hi all, If anyone has a spare moment could you evaluate my band? i.e. if you were a stranger to the band (which you probably are anyway!) what are your impressions? are the songs good? what's the image like? likely to become successful? how/what to improve - marketing? song quality...

Hmm I might consider the i5 I've read mixed reviews - some say incomparable to the 57 as they're both different so I dont know... On a (slightly) separate note - what mic on the acoustic (and vocals) for this recording?

How does Noel Gallagher have such a massive range?

How do you achieve such a range? He's forty something, does everyone has the capacity to sing like this and it's down to practice/technique?

    Semi-noob purchasing advice

    1) One at a time, guide acoustic-drums-bass-acoustic-lead-vocal, wondered about 2 57s for the guitar - worth it or not really? 2) Around...£300, could push it I suppose - would a hi-fi stereo be ok for monitors? 3) Bass (DI) Electric (Mic'ed amp) Acoustic (Mic'ed) This is for a 'demo album'...

    Semi-noob purchasing advice

Hi all, I've getting some stuff together to do a few demos and so far I've got a Tascam 488 and I need some decent headphones/microphones/monitors. I have a rough idea of what headphones to get, microphones I'm thinking 2 x SM57s (for guitars) and an SM58 or even an SM58 beta (for vocals). I...

    The La's - Over

Very true, I suppose it is the 'feel' that I'm after. In which case, < this should be achievable on an 8 track but then there's only me and a drummer - so it would be recording bass and drums, then guitar, then lead guitar, then vocals...
