MP3 for the dog lover !

I Just put an MP3 for dog lovers out there. This is a version of the 1970's Gilbert O'Sullivan tune "Alone Again, Naturally" . . . as sung by our two dogs. They hate it when we leave the house for overnight trips. Go to idrive.com . . . enter "PAPicker" in the visitor block . . . and play or...

My MP3 file moved to idrive.com

All > Thanks for the reviews and kind comments. I agree the percussion is off tempo and cheezy to say the least . . . I might redo the small amount of percussion in the song maybe with better samples. Like everyone above has mentioned, it's definately the weak point of the tune. I might work...

from24back to 16 for CDwrite , a new problem rises...

I mention headroom bkz I mix totally within my software. I may have 16 tracks of audio that I eventually mixdown to stereo tracks. When you do this, the individual tracks overlay on themselves and the overall dB level of the mix is much higher than the individual tracks. I've found, working in...

    4 of 9.5

Damn Emeric ! I Checked out ATYW and SoSad . . . I like um both. Your tunes sound so full and lively ! Great vocals . . . SoSad kind of had a John Lennon feel to it. Loved the guitar work in both, especially the end of ATYW . . . for some reason I was hearing Supertramp in that tune. Great...

from24back to 16 for CDwrite , a new problem rises...

Using Cakewalk PA9, I've found that you have to leave yourself plenty of headroom working in 24bit when you plan to convert to 16bit! Anthing close to 0dB at 24bit will end up with digital distortion after coverting to 16bit. This may be your problem. Regards, PAPicker

Best tone Strats or Les Pauls (opinions)

Here's an opinionated answer. IMHO, it's easier to mimic a strat with a copy than to get LP tone from a copy, so I bought a LP and a Mexican Strat. I agree that both tones are desireable. I'd also like to have an ES 335 . . . a unique and pleasing tone. I haven't found a copy yet that can come...

    Mic storage guestion

I never leave mine on the stand . . . not even the AT4033 with the pain-in-the-ass shock mount . . at least it came with a padded storage case. I would also worry about moisture using the plastic bag. For my mics that didn't come with padded cases, I bought cheap hand gun cases at Wal-Mart for...

    Never Pee On Electric Fences...

Hey Buck, That reminds me of the joke about the old guy who put dog shit on his lips when they were chapped. It didn't help cure chapped lips, but it sure kept him from lickin' em. PAPicker
