    ok, so in you opinion, to record direct sansamp DI, POD, J station, or ART, an why? the POD or J-station will be more userfull than a DI, because its simulates diferent amp models (I think)

    so everybody is recording direct? mayb a POD will help me get a better sound, or a j-station I dont think the strings are the problem I always record whith new strings (D'addario) maybe the pickups are not that good thanx for the info

    yeah I dont really like the compresors on the DIGI, I also have some comp from bombfactory(1176 and LA-2A) and waves. but stil dont get "that" sound, the 1176 gets really close

    I eq the drums before the compresion, is that a good thing or a bad thing for the sound Im after? Kick ratio 5:0, attack 20-30ms, release 64ms -6dB reduction threshold snare(top) and toms 3:25 attack 16, release 44, -6dB threshold 0ver heads and hi-hat, limiter attack 10, release 10...

    hi I'm recordin on the DIGI001 and Im wondering how can I can I get that fat squash compresed sound, I tried putting comp on every thing but just dosnt sound "that" good. any settings sugestions? heres some links to some drums with and wth out compresor(drums com, drums no com)...

    Hi here is something I did just to have fun. I recorded a poket marshall (the one that have a 2" speaker)whith a SM57. all the guitars and bass where recorded this way. the drums are soundfonts it really sounded really good for a 2" speaker...

    Crisp distortion and clean guitar sounds???

    for a big distorted guitar sound I use 2 mics SM57 as close as pocible to the grill, an a Oktava cond like 6" from the grill. the 57 is realy sharp, and the oktava has a realy full sound. toyL is right, back of the gain

    The drum is a Yamaha advance, so that help alot. I remove the front head and place the mic (sennheiser e-602) where the hole should be, pointing where is gona be hit. I cut a lot of low mids (250-350Hz) and boost 10kHz. I realy don't remember the compresor setting. But I belive it was something...
