nothing like some shameless self promotion. (don't worry i've done it too)
didn't really like the songs, sounded really midi-ish. how much time are you spending on these?
I do love logic, but i'm sure pro tools has its ups. I haven't tried it yet, and really would like to, but i'd have to buy a stupid interface. and yes pro tools 8 did seem to hold some close resemblances to logic.
i've been on this forum for over a year now and it's been incredibly helpful. I also got a book on my specific software (logic). I research it in my spare time, I read up on it all the time. I am always learning. I just love doing it so much.
practice and research i guess.
the fa-101 is great. I can record 8 analog tracks at once. I need a preamp for 6 of them though, but I have a behringer mixer (eurorack like yours prob) and it can do 4 pres sent to the line ins... and I have a behringer mix pre. So i can record 7 tracks at once with it. I paid $240 for it used. :)
I''ve got the same thing, but I use it with gearbox. I installed the kb37 and use its software with my guitar port. try doing some post eq, and what not. I'd stick with the distortion in guitarport thought because it generallay is better than software distortion vst/dx whatever
Hey guys, quick question. I leave my mics out on their stands quite often, esepcially my at 2020 a ldc. do you think it is a good or bad idea to throw a clean sock over it (and any other mics i use and leave out) to keep dust off of it... I can't see why not... but just looking for opinions...
haha i have nearly the same setup that you have suggested. I have a macbook (white 2.1 ghz 1 gig or ram) with logic express. and I have an fa-101. I'll tell you as much as I can...
-firstly it's bus powered, which is nice I can take it around without an adapter.
-it's got 10 inputs at once! 8...
the thread says what it says. read it over.
I don't know about you guys but i ended up getting an edirol fa-101 a week ago or so, so this thread is useless to me. thanks for the info though.
