I played with T-racks a little and liked it. However, I use my UAD-1 now to master my songs and feel I have much more control.

I use Sonar 4 and UAD-1 Ultra Pk flawlessly. I absolutely love it.

Honestly, I think they are ok. Being that the original post was to facilitate discussion on budget OH's, specifically I pointed out that for the $$, the B1's are incredible... FOR the money!

Are you confusing the B1 with the C1? The C1 is notoriously known for it's "u87" sound and harshness. Whether you think it sounds like the u87 is up to you... However, the B1 is not near as harsh as the C1. I think you've confused them. ;)

Absolutely, I totally agree. All I'm saying is that unless you got $600-$1k for SDC's as OH's you're better off with LDC's... not just for the OH's, but to pick up a good mix of the kit as well. Cheaper LDC's are way too bright/harsh IMO.
