I'm going to get some serious gear soon and I have to upgrade my current shotgun.
I'll be shooting a lot of interior dialogue shots in small to medium sized rooms. From what I've been told, a shotgun mic like the MKH 416 is terrible for indoors, correct?

The reason I want the "Air/room" feel is to provide a sense of presence. When I'm recording a video with the Yeti's audio, it sounds very disconnected. Like I'm in a sound booth even though I'm directly in front of the mic.

So I recently just upgraded my old Sony ECM-DS70P microphone to a Blue Yeti. I record videos with the DS70P plugged directly into my camera and me being a few inches away speaking. The setup I have now is the same just with the Yeti plugged in my PC.
The problem is, I can't...
It has potential but it does seem a bit wordy. I suggest pruning a few words per verse and tightening the whole thing up a bit.
Other than that, it seems wonderful.
You do sound rather flat in certain spots. I suggest getting mic with a zero-latency headphone jack, so you can listen to yourself while you're singing.
It's a small investment but can have a dramatic effect on refining your technique. :)
