    Can you ID this mic?

Apparently you've never been in a parking structure like that? Long chamber with concrete surfaces, yes they have a "cathedral" sound - I've used modeled reverb specifically from such environments. It should be glaringly obvious to you that the backing track is playing on some kind of boom box...

    Can you ID this mic?

So someone is only an outstanding vocalist when they audition for and win a Broadway/West End starring role? That would cut out a bunch of fantastic singers. Dunno Rob you seem loathe to give her her due for some reason. She's not the only outstanding singer but she's one of them. Making that...

    Can you ID this mic?

Just out of curiosity who's a female singer or singers you *are* impressed by, who you think have controlled vibrato superior to Daura's?

    Can you ID this mic?

Thanks, that's what someone else mentioned - it looks like Ultimate Vocal Remover does a superb job at my immediate task at hand of separating out the vocal/instrumental.

    Can you ID this mic?

What did you use to isolate the vocal? I assume you don't have whatever backing track they used to use the phase inversion trick? The vocal isolators I've found don't do that clean a job of it. The one in Audacity doesn't work that well.

I've got an inquiry in to the group - I'll report back if they respond.

Any such thing as reliable one-click software to fix digitized LP recordings?

    Can you ID this mic?

Another thing is we don't know if there's a baffle behind the mic off camera. If you don't hear a controlled vibrato all I can say is, um, okay.

    Can you ID this mic?

My original objective was to identify the mic but.... It's a real recording, that doesn't mean it hasn't gotten some treatment, it also doesn't mean it was all the same take. Chest expansion is visible and breath sounds are quite audible. Watch it again. The tongue, lips, chest/breath is too...

Any such thing as reliable one-click software to fix digitized LP recordings?

I looked at it - gads $1349. And it's still not point and solve. Presumably it's useful for other things besides LP cleanup?

Doesn't have to be free, I want it to work.

Any such thing as reliable one-click software to fix digitized LP recordings?

For transferring LPs to CD is there such a thing as software that has a "fix it" button to do a solid job of removing surface noise and clicks/pops without much need for further adjustment by the user? I have noise removal software but it's laborious to use particularly click/pop removal to...

How to archive a track in Reaper?

Not a project a track. Cakewalk has the option to archive tracks so the system doesn't have to work playing tracks that aren't being used.

Anyone have insight regarding this Beatles console that was (supposedly) found in a dumpster?

Would that likely be by design given the requirements of mastering LPs which can't have ultra-thumpy bass or the overall dynamic range possible on digital formats?

Anyone have insight regarding this Beatles console that was (supposedly) found in a dumpster?

The story is that it was donated to a school who didn't know how to use it and put it in a dumpster. Hard to imagine anyone not having the sense to realize someone would pay $$ for it even if they couldn't use it unless they had no idea about its history or even just seeing if someone might buy...
