    Public Mix Contest #12!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I used the 57 and bottom tracks + my own sample. It's mostly the sample you are hearing. I would say that the vocals are the hardest part. Too much stuff going on :)

    Goresoaked - Brutal Death Metal

Here's two songs from a demo that I just finished recording and mixing. Goresoaked - Postmortal Haemorrhoids Goresoaked - Coprourinal Eucharistia Pretty talented band I would say. They were only 17-18 years old!

    Nail Trails - Finnish Rock/Metal

Thank you all for your comments! Here's some info: - Snare is about 80 % sample 20 % real. The recorded snare didn't fit in the mix so I had to replace it. - Bassdrum has about 50 % of the mic sound. - Toms are 100 % real. - Yes, I did "master" this myself. It's basically just a volume boost...

Dead Shape Figure - Finnish Thrash Metal

Here's one photo from Sear recordings: http://www.arthor.fi/studio/sear/Lauri02.jpg The recording room is so small that you can't really take any good photos there :) It's a small room in the basement of a house. I mix in a different place. No luxury here at all.

The Sansamp is mine actually. GT2 is a distortion/amp modeller pedal and we used it with the clean channel of the amp.

Thank you all for your feedback! 1. Rode NT1000 2. DBX Mini Pre I like it too. Funny thing is that I had to keep the volume on Sansamp very low to get that tight sound. So, I would not recommend that amp if you are going to use it in band rehearsals. You can not get enough volume from it...

Thanks. I used samples on acoustic drums. The bass is kind of hard to get right and I'm still working on with it.
