New Song - one more time

I am not trying to be mean but your playing needs some polishing up. The song was kind of boring, and what kind of guitar are you using. Is it a jackson, or a dean. What kind of amp are you using. Is it like a small crate studio amp or what. Not trying to be mean, but up up up, down down down...

    Check out a fresno local

Yeah i did all the recording. I didnt have all the mics that i had now, they were a little impatient. I mixed it with a little help from the singers. They of course wanted their vocals louder, so thats why they are a little loud. I didnt have any good overhead mics or tom mics. But all in all it...

What should I use for monitoring?

I use a behringer mx 602. I run direct monitoring of my mixer on one bus, output from my sound card on another bus,and i put a mic on another bus. The mic is so i can say "Stop playing guitar so we can record or keep playing the drums I am trying to get levels." So times guitar players whine and...

A nice clicky/fat bass drum sound..

click pads, pantera sound, i am pretty sure that dude uses one. They have a piece of metal inside the eq sticker. Check GC, thats where i got mine, but i dont like the sound. I am more of a punchy rock sound not metal. But yes click pads. The metal makes a click noise. Easy enough.

    Sm57 On Kick Drum

I used an sm57 for awhile and it has a banging on cardboard sound. Plus the drummer had so much blanket in his kick it was silly. With alittle compression it sounds......not as good as the e602 and matter a fact it sounds like shit compared, but i guess you can do it.

    Recording heavy distorted guitars.

I use a sm 57 two inches from cab. Then i put a oktava 2 foot back. I also record directly into the mix clean via direct box. The mix of it all comes out fat. On the clean tone i will throw a little amp simulation on it, then eq. It works for me and I mainly record chunky phat guitar tracks.

basic cost of moving to pc?

cheap You could do what I did. I bought a m audio quattro.(145 dollars on ebay.)Then you could pick up sonar, by cakewalk. They work good together. the quattro uses usb port so it is easy to hook up. Cakewalk sonar is hell of easy, and hook up is easy. I use to have a rolland vs 1880. I hated...

It could be the pick up on your guitar picking up waves from lights or computer screen. If the gear you use shares one circuit its pretty dirty.Another thing i use to get a bad hum when (i dated up tight white chics) when i turned off my m audio quatro wrong. The next time i would start up...
