    Critique my song please!

It's a good tune...It seemed like it took a few bars to settle into a groove though at the beginning. The only other nitpick I have is the tone of the guitar there at the end, it was a little too harsh and cutting, could stand a little warming up. Good job overall. bd

    Banjo Ditty update... we heeeee!!

You just keep building on this thing! Very tasty guitar part! I think I liked the tone of the banjo on the first mix though. I know you're still workin the bugs out on this "tracking the banjo" thing. Dammit, I wish I could just pick up an instrument and start playing like you seem to have done...

Well you didn't ask for anyone to listen, but I did anyway. You also didn't ask for critique...... well, here goes anyway! Song#1 the vocals sounded like they were too distant or muddy... what kind of mic was used? Maybe a little EQ would help. You might want to bring the (guitar?) solo up a bit...

Dueling with myself on Guitar and Harp

Can't beat it for a live recording! Good stuff, nice riffage on the harp and the axe! I especially liked the sound of the kids there at the end...glad you didn't edit that out. Glad you're still hangin out with us Walter, your contributions here are greatly appreciated. Yeah, the drummer did...

    I'm thinking of switching

Re: built in, schmilt in! At least you had the pedal model....the ones before that had a big crank stickin out the top! J/K...........:D You definitely hit it on the button as far as fx goes though. I use a V-Amp2 to get my guitar fx. It outputs wet and dry so you can have whatever you want. bd

4/4 Rock Song in A minor

Well done dude, You got a lot of stuff goin on there. Overall there's a sound that is familiar to me, but I can't put my finger on it. I like the song. I think the vocals work well with some of the b/g's you got in there. Guitar work is tight. Recording is very clean. bd

this really sucks...I mean REALLY sucks...

mix, OK, 3 lessons and you're playin that good? First off, it's a good looking instrument. Secondly, I'm impressed with the piece. But I also think it's great that there seems to have been a truce called and things are getting back to normal. Good job man! I think you have the right idea with...

    Why the hell not...

Amazing! I just listened to joro's trax and it played all the way through! I still don't trust it, I'm beginning to suspect the dial-up itself! Explain what you mean about a "traceroute". The player is musicmatch jukebox, which is just what the computer defaults to for mp3's. I appreciate any...

Waldo, Just a crazy question..Have you done anything lately with NWR that would cause me to not be able to stream lo-fi? I tried to listen to your tune and got 10 seconds....pause...13 more seconds, then nothing! It's a problem I've been having for a week or more, I just can't figure it out...
