Best pedal for a solid state half stack

hey, no problem bro. i've missed the guitar forum here. i'm glad i dropped in. i haven't heard these amps, but heard of them. though it would sound good, i still worry about Line6 quality. i've jammed with a guy that uses one of their high dollar combos and that thing sounded sweet though...

Best pedal for a solid state half stack

hogwash. a long thread of amp talk is nothing for anyone to get butt hurt over. don't worry about it. ;) OMG! poor fella. dude, times are hard right now for a lot of people and if money is tight, dude will be fine with the randall or the peavey. yeah, i think so. i love mine and will...

Best pedal for a solid state half stack

true, and that last bit of advice is the best. i didn't catch that this was his first good one. given that, i still think he should go with the randall.

Best pedal for a solid state half stack

yup, he actually used the randall amps. he was just about to switch over to krank tube amps when he was killed but they had to hot rod them to satisfy his appetite for gain. that's where the krankenstein came from.

Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

101 r16h7 n01z3d00d 101 Laney makes a fine amp and i love the tones paul gilbert gets out of them. i don't have one so i would not be qualified to give an opinion. i guess it was up to you to mention it. :D

Best pedal for a solid state half stack

perhaps not, but good tones can still be had from that amp. i played with a peavy renown 400 and TS-9 for years and got some good tones out of that rig. my main point is that the half stack will sound better (to my ears anyway). when i got my V3, the head came frist and i pluged it into that...

    Fender Squier Bullet Bass

all of the above. pups will make the biggest difference, but if anything is noisy then replace that too. pots are cheap so you may as well go all out and replace it all.

Where have I been? What's with all the small low wattage heads these days...

+1 i play a carvin V3 set to 50 watts. last week i played with some friends and had the master volume at 12:00 to keep up with the drummer. the tone and feel was bust ass! the drummer was holding back so we could hear the singer thru the little chicken shit PA we were using so if we get...

Best pedal for a solid state half stack

not quite true. an enclosed 4x12 cab sounds WAY defferent (and in my opinion, better) than an open back combo or 2x12. and Dimebag Darrel played solid state randall amps and sounded bad ass. there's absolutely nothing wrong with solid state amps, though personally i like the feel and...
