As far as I know it's Vienna Symphonic Library and it's ridiculously expensive if you want the whole set. (€1,645)
I should try to make music without sheet music starting from today.
I know Sibelius, I used it to submit my music homework when I was an undergraduate.
It's a nice notation software, I love it.
But you need a good sound library in order to have a good and realistic sound.
No wonder why people don't publish sheet music for pop music, there are only...
I took some music theory courses such as tonal harmony and counterpoint during my undergraduate study which gave me the impression that classical composers write sheet music when they compose.
But after I stepped into the recording world, I see something different.
Sometimes I see that people...
Sorry to hear about that.
But can we connect AI to a camera? Or just me misunderstanding something?
Because my AI (scarlett 2i2) doesn't seems to be able to be connected to a camera.
I want to record some music through my SM58 but at the same time I also want to record a video of my playing.
What I am doing now is to setup both the camera and mic, and record them at the same time.
After that, I use video editing softwares like Camtasia studio to put the video and audio...
I am the "ultra rookie" that the article is talking about, recording as loud as possible, hoping that the final product would be as loud as a commercial recording.
I've checked, it seems my DAW (ableton 9 lite), do not have this function.
I am curious when do we need to use pre metering and when do we need post metering.
I am not sure what is the meaning of "gain level that's pre effects+fader?"
I think there is no pre effects by scarlett 2i2 in which I am using.
I was busy looking at the score when recording, didn't notice the meter or else at all. Maybe I should memorize the score next time.
Thanks for you...
I rush through the recording yesterday hoping that I could finish it by yesterday.
But when I do the mixing today, I discover that there are some clippings in the climax part of the harmonica audio.
How do I fix it without recording everything? I have tried to re-recording the clipping section...
I have just learnt some of the stages of recording: 1. Tracking, 2. Mixing and 3. Mastering
I am now trying to do mixing but I have no idea what to do. I added the reverb effect, and then turned the EQ such that some of the high frequency are filtered out(The high frequency would produce an...
Is -18 higher than -20 dbFS?
Also, what is my dbFS in the photo shown in the attachment? The maximum is only 1 and my recorded track has volume on average 0.5, is it normal?
I've bought a scarlett 2i2 and SM58 today, but it seems the volume recorded is quite low when compared with the CDs produced by industry. Do I need a preamp to increase the volume?
