    us122 recording problem

    Iuse a US-122 aldo and have the sameproblem. I just record with the headphones and unplug the output to the speakers. It's pretty anoying having to wear the headphones all the time, but it seams to be the only way. Maybe if you made a soundfroof box for it.

    Where can I shop for good sound cards and what kind do I need?

    I have a computer with a P4, 1G memory, 180 gig hard drive, and I want to set it up for high quality recording. Right now I'm using a tascam US-122 and I want to upgrade. I don't know much about sound cards and computer recording. What kind of high quality setup can I get for about $1000?

    I have one too and it skips as well. I use windows XP. I think it's probably a problem with the computer because the sound on media player for example skips sometimes too but not nearly as much as when using cubasis VST.
