    Strat Question

I bought a new American Standard Strat a couple of years ago, i guess it is a '98. It is Lake Placid Blue but, unlike any other Fender i've ever seen, the Headstock is the same color as the body! When i saw that (& played it) I just had to have it. Has anybody ever seen a Fender like that?

well, we've seen a lotta really good names here... but will no one mention Robert Fripp's "Heartbeat" solo??? or any other solo of his???? i did notice a general uneasiness over the term "progressive", but, was it not Led Zepplin Black Sabbath Yes & King Crimson who shaped that term? Probably...

    Tips on arranging songs

yo pete i think you hit the nail on the head! it's not that the rules are BAD, it's just where you place them on your priority list. BEGIN with rules & you have lost the organic-ness of the whole process. you have lost the ART of it. let the IDEA be the guide and the song will always be a real...

    ASPHXIATION

Brian Well, I do have central heat/air, but the unit is in the attic & wasn't run thru to the basement- hence no air. I could upgrade & tear my house all up; or I could add a new small unit to the basement- either way we are talking money! The solution I need should be inexpensive. however, 1...

    Tips on arranging songs

NO RULES!!! I have to agree with grandma & roktuk- many of the coolest songs have been with no formula- or perhaps an anti-formula- in mind. lucinda williams- changed the locks talking heads- the overload king crimson- requiem lucinda's song is verse- verse- verse- verse- verse (no chorus, no...

    Recording a synthetic guitar

midi is french for "try to figure this out" i have had similar problems with the same setup (gr-30/sb live)- the tracking is all screwy, the sounds are incorrect, and the bendability of the strings is lost- however, if you have the live drive with the 1/4" ports @ the front, you can plug in...
