more of a "live" question than recording

Hiya, At the moment we are a live band playing with click track from the laptop. I plug a stereo splitter into the headphone socket and then put the recorded side into the desk and then the click side into the drummers headphones, my question is, is there a safer way to come out of the laptop...

    Backing tracks for live band

Hiya, Hope I am in the correct forum. I am in the process of forming a live band. My question is, is there any site that can provide backing tracks, so I can take off drums, bass etc to leave me with what I need for backing? ie playing live and the drummer plays with a click track, so we can...

    recording noisey drummers

Hope I am in the right forum page! My question is, what impedence/watts etc is needed on headphones for a drummer, as this is the most noisiest thing when recording? We have found that the drummer needs more volume to hear, which then hinders his playback quality. I know the obvious answer...

    She's so Tidy

thanks dachay2tnr for the comments, the drums are live and snare and kick are enhanced with drumagog, the bass I'll grant ya is abit unusual, on the vocal part there is an effect on the bass, was one of those "arty" moments lol But thanks again.

    A DRUMAGOG question

Hi I am thinking of buying Drumagog software for my recordings of the acoustic drums. I understand how it works my only question is the hi hat. Does it replace the sound with an open sound when the drummer lifts it up in a song. I don't mean playing open hi hat I mean if I assign a a sample...

    So Moody

Thanks Rayc for your positive comments. Someone else said the intro was the theme from Mash, to be honest, I don't know it, so I will slap the guitarists legs for that! As for being too "hot" it was definetley pushed to the limit, on purpose, I wanted it to make your ears bleed on the loud bits...

    Drum mic bleeding

Hi there, Was just wondering how you stop the bleed onto other mic's when recording drums. I have experimented and was surprised how good the results were but there seems to be alot of overspill from other drums. Is this normal? I used a SM 57. Any information would be greatly received...

    Copyright

Hi there, I have no doubt my question has been asked before. How do you copyright a song? Can you post it to yourself and leave it unopened with the date marked on it from the post office? Any advise would be grateful. Cheers Pete
