Yeah i know, i noticed some of that too... But i can't like re-record it cause my drummer went back to phili to finish of the semester. However, yeah i'm loving the bass tones people are getting, i'm very surprised!

To me it seems like i can never record guitar good... I'm recording a mesa triple rect. with a shurt 57 through a dbx 386 mic pre-amp... I always seems like there is no presence at all for the distorted channel... Everything else was recorded like this: Kick and Snare through dbx 386...

Well yeah i have no problem doing the recording and adjusting levels, but i'm talking for a live situation (even though this is a recording forum)

I'm using a mesa triple rect. My problem is that when recording, or playing live, my distortion channel is a nice volume, but my clean channel is much lower in the mix when i switch to it, even with the master and gain and everything that could make it loud, set all the way. So i'm thinking...

Well that wouldn't really give it that stereo feel... That would just give that off center feel. Unless the second guitar is 15 miliseconds off place, but then that causes phase issues...

How can I get this kind of stereo effect on the guitar without getting phase issues? This sounds like its panned to the left a bit, however it also sounds wide. Its not just a solid clip panned. Any ideas? http://www.rheniummusic.com/grabthyhand.mp3

Well there is only one guitar in the whole song... Played on an Ibanez RG470 with cleans through a Crate GFX-120 miced with a small diaphram condensor, and the dirty through a mesa triple rect miced with a 57. But interesting... I need to get some monitors
