shure mics are pretty standard but those so many different series. i got laying around 2 sm58s, and the a bg4.1 and like bg 2.1 or something. whats the difference between all these mics and how would you rank them in quality. i mean, we got BG, PG, SM, and Beta. are there more?

i like mine. im doing more live sound now, and it sounds awesome. the only thing is i cant get the lows up too high because theyll start resonating if its too far inside the kick. i need to get a compressor. but its a rad mic.

i head the 609s sound good on lower toms, like the floors. for the high toms iwas thinking about the 604s myself. i say 2 of each.

the yorkville ysm series or whatever, the active monitors have a set of switches you can mess with depending on where your monitors are setup. if i can get a set of passives for like 225, then get a 75 watt poweramp for like 100 more. so give or take, 325, 350-should i go with the passives, or...

do you think i would be able to use all of the analogs, the adat, and the spdif in cubase sx? not relaly hte cubase since thats only two inputs, but mainly the analog and the digital? im guessing yes, because it uses asio drivers, and since you said you needed the n-track with the asio drivers...
